Hi gang, it's time now for the results of the latest photography competition. Thanks to everyone who entered, and good luck.

In third this month. A very clever bird, brushing up on his housekeeping skills.

Wow! A clean sweep for the African Greys this month! Let's see if the other birds can knock the Greys off their perches in the February competition.

Great pics in the January competition - lovely to see such wonderful interaction with our feathered friends.

Best Wishes
Nicola x

Thanks Jules Laughing

Kara is settling in well. She has her moments but we are managing to cope with these!

Hope Kasper is behaving himself!

mmmm sort of behaving himself. three times today he's had the curtains down,he knows how to unhook them off the rail, pull the hooks out of the curtain itself and then flings them as far as he can. then has the nerve to laugh Shocked

the strange thing is he leaves them alone towards autumn/winter. then round about now decides to pull them down,he's done the same thing for the last three years or so. i think he must decide the curtains need a wash Laughing

Oh dear

We are going on holiday soon so Kara is going to stay with some friends. Bit apprehensive about it but sure she will be fine! Rolling Eyes Otherwise it might be an emergency call to the parrot hotel!

i'm sure she'll be fine, kara is young enough to adapt. it might be a good idea for them to come and visit first and get to know her and maybe for you to take kara to their house before you go Smile

Yes they have been over a couple of times and we took her there on Friday. Will take her back on Friday for another visit.

She has bonded with me so very clingy and isn't keen to be handled by others if I am there. Sure she will be ok when she is left on her own with them! Well I hope so anyway Rolling Eyes

Congtratualtions to the winners and of course as I said earlier I would not have been able to chosen a winner, they are all winners.

Kara will be fine, I'm sure, but as you know we are only a phone call away if you need us.

On the clingy bit, pass her round as much as you can so that she will understand that she is ok with others, they sometimes prefer one person, but if we pass them round they get used to it.

Most of ours will go to both of us, Rupert hates Diane but she can still hold him particularly if she tells him that he is going to me, Chalkie doesn't like her much either but tells her 'I love you' when she has some food that he wants. Monty has always been all me but of course he was badly treated and I think when I took him and talked to him in the van telling him he would be ok now I feel sure that he trusted me from the start and I can do anything with him, and considering he was terrorised by seven dogs he plays with Ebony and the two springers don't affect him.

Thanks Bob I am going to give them your number in case they have any problems with her.

We are trying to make sure she doesn't bond completely with me sure she will be fine Laughing
