Hello, my name is Kara (short for Karawek which is Thai for Bird). I am 13.5 weeks old and came to live with my new family in Belper yesterday (31/12/11). I was pretty frightened of the fireworks last night but am settling in well to my new home and love to play as much as possible

You weren't alone last night being a little scared of the fireworks,
All our birds had the radio on and I was out in the hotel at midnight with the birds on holiday making sure they were not frightened, fortunately there were not so many as last year and we all went to bed lights off at about 1.15am

Glad to hear that you have settled in well in your new home and want to play all the time.

Ok well the way I put photos on the forum is to load them onto photo bucket and then copy the img file and just past it to the forum but if you have any problems email the photos to me and I will post them for you. either way we will se some photos of you soon

hello kara,how pretty you are. hope you're settling in well with your new family,you'll have lots of fun playing and shredding (just remember to shred the important stuff like bills) but do it sneakily so your mum and dad won't notice,that's what i do

i'm jasper parrot btw,and a grey just like you. i'm going to be a big five soon,mum says. i'm waiting for lots of new toys

how sweet is kara,asleep with her dad jasper used to do that alot,but he soon grew out of it (apart from the odd occasion)

he's still my baby but i won't tell him that,after all he'll soon be five. jasper says five is all grown up

Yes I am sure it won't last and that she will start playing more than sleeping

Kara is beautiful and such a pretty name, our grey Sally is nearly 3 and she just loves playing ball or chase the string but only I can actually pick her up for cuddles.

Hi Kizzy. Kara hasn't been in good form today. She went to the vet to register and have a check up. She was well behaved with the vet but went mad in her cage when we got back. Anyway she has settled down now thankfully and is sleeping in her cage. Say hello to Sally
